Approximately 125 years ago, Swami Dayanand Saraswati founded the Arya Samaj with a powerful vision of reviving and spreading Vedic culture across the world. Among his many revolutionary ideas was the reintroduction of the ancient Gurukul Education System, which became a reality on April 13, 1912, with the establishment of Naturecure, Gurukul Kurukshetra in Haryana.

Over the years, this institution has faced numerous challenges, navigating through periods of both struggle and triumph. Eventually, the responsibility to sustain and elevate this legacy was entrusted to a dedicated Karamyogi, Dr. Dev Vrat, who passionately embraced Swami Dayanand’s vision and worked tirelessly to bring it to life. Under his guidance, Naturecure, Gurukul Kurukshetra has become a cornerstone of his efforts to uphold and spread the timeless teachings of Vedic wisdom.

This project is more than just an educational institution; it’s a living testament to the enduring power of Vedic culture and the Gurukul system. When someone has a high and noble goal, they often work tirelessly, without concern for their own interests, day and night. Dr. Dev Vrat is a shining example of such dedication. His unwavering commitment to the cause of humanity was shaped by a life-changing experience.

At one point in his life, Dr. Dev Vrat fell gravely ill. His condition was so severe that doctors had little hope for his recovery. He sought help from numerous hospitals and consulted many specialists, but all of them declared his illness incurable. Faced with this bleak reality, he felt a deep sense of despair and nearly lost all hope.

However, a glimmer of hope emerged when he decided to explore naturopathy. With a strong sense of determination, he checked into a nature care hospital and committed himself fully to the treatment. For two months, he stayed there, following the naturopathic regimen with unwavering willpower. Remarkably, he not only regained his health but also experienced a profound transformation in his outlook on life.

This experience opened Dr. Dev Vrat’s eyes to the reality that many people suffer and even lose their lives due to ignorance about natural healing methods. He realized that there was a great need for a naturopathy center where others could benefit from the same healing that had saved his life.

Driven by this newfound purpose, Dr. Dev Vrat proposed the idea of establishing a nature care center on the campus of Gurukul. When he presented his resolution to the management, it was met with unanimous approval. With their support, he embarked on what seemed like an impossible mission.

Through his relentless effort and dedication, Dr. Dev Vrat succeeded in bringing this vision to life. Today, the nature care center stands as a testament to his determination and his unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of humanity. His journey is a powerful reminder of the impact that one person’s determination and belief in a cause can have on the world.
